BRASHER – Elizabeth J. (LaVare) Baile, 85, passed away Tuesday (June 6, 2017) at the Highland Nursing Home. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
Born February 20, 1932 in Brasher Falls the daughter of George and Gladys (Deon) LaVare, she attended school locally. Betty united into marriage with Joseph Baile, on April 13, 1950 the couple had there marriage blessed at St. Patricks Church. She was active as a Bingo worker and a volunteer for the St. Vincent de Paul at St. Patrick's Parish. She enjoyed old time fiddling music and was once a member of the North Country Fiddlers. Betty had a very giving spirit, from baking, or to just lending a helping hand she was always one you could count on.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her children Brenda Barney of Brasher, Timothy and his companion Anne Diabo of Massena, and a daughter-in-law Cathy Baile of Brasher. She is also survived by eight grandchildren , numerous
great grandchildren, several niece, nephews and cousins.
Her siblings Margaret Sova of Brasher, Shirley Wilson of Massena, Eyvonne Ward of Brasher and Linda Forte of Moira survive her.
Besides her parents and husband she is predeceased by four children Jane Baile, Judy Baile. Mary Despaw, George Baile her siblbings Pauline Barse, Philip LaVare, Robert LaVare, Gerald LaVare Donald LaVare, Phyllis Sienkiewycz, and Veron LaVare.
A time of visitation will be held Friday (June 9th) from 6-8 at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. A graveside service will be held June 15, 2017 at 2 p.m at St. Patrick Cemetery, Brasher Falls.
