Obituary of Ralph Brown

Brushton – Ralph F. Brown, 70, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.

Born Jan. 15, 1947 in Potsdam, he was the son of Lester and Nora (Rivers) Brown. Ralph graduated from St. Lawrence Central School in 1965 and then was active in the in the United States Army from 1966-1968 and in the reserves until 1972.

Ralph united in marriage with Barbara Dillabough on Feb. 26, 1966 at St. Mary's Church Brushton. She predeceased him on July 11, 2004. He worked his entire life for the International Elevator Constructor's Union retiring in 2004.

Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his two sons and daughter-in-law; Graigory and Melissa Brown of Burke, and Chad and Karrie Brown of Chateaugay. He is also survived by six grandchildren Ryan (Kierstin), Codie, Hogan, Declan Brown, Sean Pesko, and Aidan Pesko.

His siblings and George (Michelle) Brown of Pulaski, Webster (Rosemary) Brown of North Lawrence, Melvin (Laura) Montgomery of Winthrop and Myron Montgomery of Rochester and Helen (George) Young of Cicero, along with a sister-in-law Dawn Brown of Cicero, and a brother-in-law Yves Boulais of Bombay and several nieces and nephews survive him.

Besides his parents and wife he is predeceased by a brother Robert Brown, and three sisters Anna Boulais, Barbara LaBoeuf, and Dora Russell.

Ralph was a huge Nascar fan, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching his grandson race snow sleds.

Friends are invited to call at the Flint Funeral Home Thursday (March 30th) from 2-4 and 7-9. A graveside services will be held May 12, 2017 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Brushton.

Memorial contributions in Ralph's honor may be made to the Reddy Cancer Treatment Center, Malone.
