Obituary of Pastor Michael Forman
BRASHER – Pastor Michael J. Forman, 77, was called home to his heavenly father on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. He was surrounded by the love and support of his wife and children.
Born March 10, 1940 in Newark, NJ the son of Michael and Helen (Kochera) Forman. He attended the Thomas Jefferson High School, Jersey Prep School, IBEW Union Electrical School, Keystone Jr. College and the Calvary Pentecostal Bible School, Ashland VA. Michael united into marriage with Carol Wheatley on January 7, 1961. He was the founder of the Community Life Station Church, Moira.
Michael was a member of the North Lawrence Vol. Fire Dept., a Volunteer for the Tri-Town Rescue Squad, and enjoyed coaching Little League. He and his wife were very active in pro-life work, established a homeless shelter, and did street ministry in the Albany area. Michael enjoyed the simple things in life, fishing, boating coin & stamp collecting, camping and he was always up for a good game of Pinochle.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his wife of 56 years Pastor Carol Forman and his children; Helen Dupree of Yorktown, VA, Michal J. and his wife Elizabeth Forman, Jr. of Medusa, NY, Paula Mendies of Massena, Brian Forman of Binghamton, Cathleen Vogel of Helena, and Jason and his wife Carly of Willington, NC. He is also survived by his grandchildren Nicholas, Lisa, Tonya, Thomas, Veronica, Emily, Mickey Jr., Justin, Jessica, Luke, Dillion, Philip, Matthew, Aaron, Ashley, Christopher, Emma and 17 great grandchildren.
Besides his parent he is predeceased by two brothers Steven Forman, and John Forman.
SERVICES: A time of visitation will be held Friday (April 14) from 3-7 at the Community Life Station Church, Moira, 98 Rte 95, Moira. Services celebrating Michael's life will commence at 7 p.m.
