Obituary of Carol Wilson

 MOIRA - Carol J. Wilson, 73, passed away Thursday April 27, 2017 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.

 

Born May 16, 1943, in Watertown, NY the daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Sherbino) Madlin. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1961. While working as a meat cutter at the IGA in Watertown, she met her soul mate and lifelong companion. On April 14, 1973 Carol united into marriage with James Wilson. Later Carol was employed with the Ames Department Store in Ticonderoga, retiring from Seacom Federal Credit Union, Malone in 2008 where she was employed as a Member service representative for 16 years. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was active with the Eagles Club in Watertown, and was first assistant to Marge Cross at the Rainbow Nursery School.

 

Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her husband James; and her children Jamie (Shawn) Niles of Moira, Debbie (Kenny) Reed of Knoxville Tenn., James (Diane) Wilson of Cherryville, NC, and Bob (Tara) Wilson of Black River. Also surviving her are her eight grandchildren Megan, Matthew and Dawson Niles, Ryan Reed, and Jason (Brittney) Reed, Jessica, and Jordan, Joshua Wilson; three great grandchildren Aiden and Jackson Reed, and Brently.

 

Her siblings Mary (Cary) Dingler of Covington, Georgia, Pam (Joe) Fillippi of Watertown, Trudy Haire and her companion Tim Delosh of Williston, VT, Cathy (David) Bray of Winooski, VT, and many nieces and nephews survive her. Lots of memories will be forever in the heart of her dearest best friend Marge Cross.

 

Besides her parents she is predeceased by a granddaughter Karissa Wilson.

 

SERVICES: A time of visitation will be held Tuesday (May 2, 2017) from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Flint Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating Carol's life will be held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will commence in St. Mary's Cemetery, Brushton.
