BRASHER – Rickie E. Hynes, 63, passed away unexpectedly Monday (Nov. 6) at his home. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
A graveside service will be held Thursday (Nov, 16) 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Brushton. Honoring Rickie's wishes there will be no public visitation.
Rickie was born June 2, 1954, in Malone the son of the late William and Ethel (Russell) Hynes. He attended the Harris High School, Malone. September 16, 1972 Rickie united into marriage with Nancy Durant of Bombay. The sacrament of matrimony took place at Notre Dame Church, Malone. He worked throughout the area from Malone Schools, Seaway Gas, Malone, Massena Seaway Gas and Grocery until 1986, later the Hynes Fuel from Massena until he became in ill health.
Rickie had a genuine love and enjoyed spending time with family and friends camping at Meacham Lake, or the Ponderosa Campground. Often he could be found outdoors and with his pets.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his wife Nancy and his siblings Ronald (Julie) Hynes of Anniston, Alabama, James (Christine) Hynes of Burke, Kenneth Hynes of Constable, John (Sherry) Hynes of Bombay, Linda (Vernon) Spinner of Plattsburgh and Ann Hynes of Bombay.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by a three brothers Michael P. Hynes, Joseph Hynes and Albert Hynes.
Memorial contributions in Rickie's honor may be made to one's local Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
