Obituary of Lavain MacCue

Lavain MacCue, 68 formerly of Star Lake and Parishville, NY passed away May 19, 2018 while a resident of Riverledge Nursing Home in Ogdensburg, NY. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.

Born in Gouverneur, June 23, 1949 to the late James MacCue and Marion (Fayette) MacCue.

Lavain grew up in Fine, NY. After graduation from Clifton-Fine Central School in 1969 she went on to work in a cloth factory in Deferiet and later as a cleaner at Claxton Hepburn Hospital.

She would later return to Star Lake and raise her only child - Tanya (Jurkovich) Wilson.

Lavain was predeceased by her parents Marion Stacia (Fayette) MacCue in 2006 and her father James MacCue in 2009, she was also predeceased by her older brother Paul James in 1948. She is survived by her daughter Tanya Laree (Jurkovich) Wilson & her husband Lee A. Wilson. Her two grandchildren Travis Dean WIlson and Courtney LeeAnn WIlson all of Parishville, NY. She is also survived by her brother Sherwood (Butch) MacCue of Croghan, NY and 3 nephews all of Croghan, NY.

Lavain loved her daughter and grandchildren more than life itself. She could be found rocking them to sleep as babies, teaching them their colors, letters, and how to walk. She was always there for them. She will be most remembered for her unending love for her daughter and grandchildren. She loved crafts and spending time with friends when she lived in Star Lake. Besides family she adored and loved her dog Bella. Bella meant the world to her.

Lavain was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.

She will be laid to rest between her parents and older brother. Funeral services will be June 9th at 1p.m. in the Oswegatchie Cemetery, Oswegatchie, NY.
