Obituary of Timmy Sabins

BOMBAY- Timmy R. Sabins, 58, passed away Tuesday June 12, 2018 at his home where he had been in failing health. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.

Born in Malone on January 20, 1960 the son of Hubert and Audrey Sabins. He was a graduate of Nashoba High School Sterling Mass. Timmy united into marriage with Kathy Verro on November 23, 1998. For many years Timmy worked construction throughout this area. Later he owned and operated his own salvage business.

Timmy had a giving spirit. He could always be found volunteering for the Brushton-Moira Meals on Wheels program, driving people to their doctors appoints through the JCCO program, Malone, and assisting at the Moira Methodist Church Food Pantry. He was recently the recipient of the Governor's Award for Volunteerism and the Red Cross Hero's Award for saving someone's life from a burning building.

Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his wife Kathy and his step children Donald (Crystal) McDunnah of Barre, VT, Bradly McDunnah of High Point, North Carolina, and Brian (Misty) McDunnah of Brushton. He will also be missed by his numerous step grandchildren.

His siblings Fred Sabins, of Malone, David (Nina) Sabins of Plano, TX, Todd (Roxanne) Sabins of Wellsville, Mark Sabins of Malone, Karen (Mike) Shomacker of Clinton, MA, Kelly (Wil) Recore of Brasher Falls, Sherry Sabins and Martha Dray of Groveland, MA, along with several nieces and nephews survive him.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by a brother Jackie, a sister and brother-in-law Susan & Earl Finkelstein, Philip Simpson, and a sister-in-law Hallie Sabins.

A time of visitation is set for Saturday June 16, 2018 from 10-10:50 a.m. Funeral services will commence at 11 a.m at the funeral home.
