Obituary of Roy McMahon
BOMBAY - With heavy hearts, the family of Roy C. McMahon, 68, announce his passing on Saturday (Jan, 12, 2019) at CVPH. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
Born May 11, 1950 in Malone, NY the son of the late Donald & Mary (Hoyt) McMahon. Roy was a graduated from Salmon River Central School in 1968. On June 29, 1974 he united into marriage with Deborah Lamica at the Notre Dame Church. For over 27 years Roy was employed at General Motors, prior to that he was employed at Tru-Stitch.
Roy enjoyed watching wildlife, hunting, fishing and tractor pulls. He loved fast cars and summer barbeques. Roy's favorite hobbies were spending time with his family and his dog Honey.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his wife, Deborah McMahon of Bombay and his sister Evelyn (Thomas) Warner of Moira. He is also survived by his brothers-in-laws for whom they had many good times and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents Roy was pre-deceased by a sister, Darlene (McMahon) Supernault of Moira.
A time of visitation is set for Thursday (Jan. 17) from 1-3:45 p.m at the Flint Funeral Home. Funeral services will commence at 4 p.m., interment will take place in the spring at a time to be announced.
Memorial contributions in Roy's honor may be made to the Bombay Fire and Rescue and the Fr. Covington Fire and Rescue.
