Words can't express how sad to learn of the passing of Doug. I can remember when my dad used to go down to the garage to get his vehicles worked on by Doug and the guys. I also remember the barn before it burned and seeing all the hard work Doug did. Doug was a very gifted mechanic and a good person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. I don't think I every remember a time that I ever saw Doug with a brand new vehicle, he always drove a work in progress. When he saw you he would always wave whether he was on a tractor or driving his truck. He would stop and shoot the breeze if he had the time which he always seemed to make no matter what he had going on. Doug came from a generation who always took the time to listen or lend a helping hand whenever he could to whoever he could and no matter the setbacks that he had he always seemed to just get up and keep on going, he will be sorely missed.
