MOIRA – With heavy hearts the family of Deborah A. Boardway, 65, announces her passing on Saturday (Mar. 9, 2019) at her home. She was surrounded by family. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
Born April 19, 1953 in Malone the daughter of the late Bernard & Marjorie (Barse) Cayea. She attended Salmon River School, later obtained her GED. As well as being a homemaker she worked for Trend Ex as a sewer for many years.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her children Tammy (Joseph Cummings of Chateaugay, Penny Boardway and her companion John Boyea of Ft. Covington, and a daughter-in-law Melissa LaFountain-Boardway of Bombay. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Her siblings Bernard (Rebecca) Cayea, Jr. of Moira, Stephen (Salley) Cayea of Moira, and David (June) Cayea of Malone survive her.
She is predeceased by a son Lawrence Boardway who passed September, 2001, three sisters and six brothers.
A graveside service will be held May 25, 2019, at 1 p.m at the Cooks Corners Cemetery.
