MOIRA – With heavy hearts the family of Teresa M. Snyder, 85, announces her unexpected passing on Sunday (June 9, 2019) at her home. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. A time of visitation will be held Sunday (June 16th) from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church North Bangor. Interment will commence in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bombay, where Teresa will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Ambrose who passed January 30, 2018. Teresa was born February 6, 1934 in North Bangor the daughter of the late Ira & Myrtle (Russell) Cherrier. She was educated locally. On September 1, 1952 Teresa united into marriage with Ambrose Snyder with the Rev. Gerald Kellogg presiding. At one time Teresa worked at the Tru-Stitch Slipper Factory, Elliot Hutchins in Brushton, and assisted her husband on the Snyder's Rubbish Removal business. However, her greatest joy was filling the home with motherly love. Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts her children; Cheryl (Leon) White of Brushton, Donald Snyder and his companion Tina Lucey of Brushton, Philip Snyder and his companion Cynthia LaFlesh of Dickinson, Brenda (Lance) Menke of Brushton, Shirley Milliser and her companion Robert Jock of Brushton, and Christie (Robert) Bonville of Brushton. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, several great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her siblings Beatrice (John) Reardon of Bombay, Rose Mary (Gordon) Cooper of Georgia, Ruthie Elmer of Massena, Joseph Cherrier of Malone, Michael (Mary Jo) Cherrier of Ohio, and Patrick (Shelley) Cherrier of Malone also survive her. Besides parents and husband, she is predeceased by a son Robert who passed August 10, 1995, and her siblings Kathleen Wells, Peggy Speegle, Jean Brown, Anna Jock, Andre Cherrier and Mary Elizondo.
