Obituary of Lisa A. Chapman
NORTH BANGOR – With heavy hearts the family of Lisa A. Chapman, 52, announce her unexepected passing on Sunday (June 30, 2019) while camping with her family and friends. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
Lisa was born in Malone on August 10, 1966 the daughter of John Keenan and Donna Tavernier. She graduated from Salmon River High School in 1984. Immediately after graduation she enrolled at SUNY Canton, where she majored in Early Childhood development, finishing her degree at North Country Community College. Lisa united into marriage with George Chapman on September 3, 1988 at the United Methodist Church, Brushton. For over 20 years Lisa was employed at the Davis Elementary School, Malone where she loved spending time with the many children as well as the collegues within the school. Lisa was always on the go whether it be camping with family and friends, keeping score for a softball games, or her "Survivor Group" with her lady friends from work; she lived each day to the fullest.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her husband George, and her son Benjamin both of North Bangor. Her mother Donna (Tavernier) Keenan – of Dickinson, and her father John Keenan of Waddington. Also surviving her is her father and mother-in-law George & Carol Chapman, of Brushton.
Her siblings Jeffrey Keenan and his companion Kris McGrath of Ogdensburg, Timothy Keenan and his companion Doreen Barron of Albany, treasured Aunt Sharon McMahon, and cousins Erin Evans, Josh McMahon, Kerri Eldridge , along with many other beloved family members survive her.
Lisa just loved her two dogs Leroy and Bailey, they had a special bond and friendship.
Besides her grandparents she is predeceased by a cousin Chris Tavernier.
A time of visitation will be held Friday (July 5th) from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Brushton. Interment will commence in Sandhill Cemetery, Dickinson.
Memoiral contributions may be made in Lisa's honor to the N. Bangor Vol. Fire and Rescue, Brushton Vol. Fire Department, or to the Moira Vol. Fire and Rescue.
