Obituary of Cherie A. Parker

BRUSHTON – With heavy hearts the family of Cherie A. Parker, 59, announce her passing on Thursday (Aug. 22, 2019) at the Alice Hyde Medical Center. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.

Born in Malone on April 13, 1960 the daughter of the late Donald & Lois (Goodrich) Mitchell, Sr. She was graduate of Salmon River School, and a United States Army Veterian. On September 27, 2003 Cherie united into marriage with Allen Parker in Granville, NY. For many years she was employed with Tru-Stitch and was also a home healthcare provider.

Cherie's quick humor, and genuine love always made family and friends feel comfortable and welcomed. She loved playing games on the internet, bingo, and was an avid cow figurine collector.

Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her husband Allen, her children Amanda (William) Morris of San Antonio, TX, David Burke of Clemons, NY, and Desiree Burke of Brushton.

Her siblings Darwin Mitchell and his companion Mary LaVare of S. Bombay, and her "bestie" Heather Robinson of Brushton survive her.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her brother Donald Mitchell, Jr. who passed away Aug 9, 2019.

A time of visitation will be held Tuesday (Aug. 27, 2019) From 4-6:45 p.m at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. The American Legion Post #939 will meet at the funeral home at 6 p.m. to provide and conduct the Military Honors. Cherie's funeral services will commence at 7 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Cherie's honor may be made to the Cooks Corners Weslyan Methodist Church, 17 Avery Road, Brushton, NY 12966.
