CONSTABLE – With heavy hearts the family of Sharon A. Scaccia,74, announce her passing Sunday (Aug. 25, 2019) at the Alice Hyde Medical Center. She was comforted by the love of her family. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. Born in Albany, NY on August 21, 1945 the daughter of the late Harvey & Edith (Malone) Monte. Sharon united into marriage with James Scaccia on July 10, 1965 in East Greenbush. For eleven years Sharon was a bus driver for East Greenbush Central School District, later she managed a housing complex for J & A Management in Cornith Mississippi. Sharon was a enjoyed making pillows, swimming, and reading. She embraced the many summer outdoor activities from camping, conoeing, and whitewater rafting. She had a tender heart for animals and was known to rescue many strays and give them love. Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her husband James and her children James Scaccia and his fiance Gina Prestipino of East Greenbush and Pastor Jayson and his wife Rebahka Scaccia of Malone. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A Memorial will be held Saturday September 14, 2019 at 11.a.m at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Malone. Memorial contributions in Sharon's honor may be made to the Ruth House Homeless Shelter Building, 217 Webster Street Malone, NY 12953.
