Dickinson – With heavy hearts the family of Keith E. Prosper, 92, announces his passing on (December 21, 2019). Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
Born in Massena the son of the late Charles & Iva (Sturgen) Prosper. After graduating from high school Keith served in the 505 of 82nd Airborne, (US Army). He received an honorable discharge and worked at Alcoa for a short time. He went into his own milk hauling business and owned his own dairy farm. Keith united into marriage with Betty Haskell in 1951.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his wife Betty and his children Michael (Cindy) Prosper, of Dickinson, Charles (Patrick) Prosper (San Francisco, and Carol (Claude) Schneider (Malone). He is also survived by a grandson Nathan Prosper.
He is survived by his two sisters Kathy Dann of Phenix, NY, and Betty Papelian of Florida, along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by a son Kenneth, and his siblings Kenneth Prosper, Florence Mungari, Mary Lou Metruck, and Linda Fiacco.
At one time Keith served on the St. Regis Falls School Board, FEH BOCES Board, and was the director of Cornell Rural School Program, and also served as a Councilman for the Town of Dickinson.
Keith enjoyed watching TV westerns, traveling, sports and going to the casino.
Acknowledging Keith's wishes funeral services will be private and held at the conveniences of the family.
