BANGOR – With heavy hearts the family of Darwin E. Wood, 63, announce his passing on Sunday Jan. 19, 2020 with his family at his side. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. Born September 29, 1956 in Sharon, CT the son of the late Gordon & Audrey (Coons) Rundall. He attended Houseatonic High School. July 28, 1975 Darwin enlisted into the United States Army, and was honorably discharged. November 19, 1973 Darwin united into marriage with Phyllis Jaycox. The couple relocated from Connecticut to Northern New York in 1980. Darwin was a janitor with North Star Industries. At one time he owned and operated the Woody's Video which was located at 7 Pearl Street, Malone. He enjoyed selling at local flea markets, and watching stock car racing. Darwin loved working outside on his property, especially when it came to mowing his yard. Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his wife Phyllis and his children Gordon Wood of Malone and Rose Bell of Virginia, along with a grandson Michael Bell of Plattsburgh. His siblings Dean Wood of Aberdeen, Maryland, Robert (Melissa) Rundall of North Bangor, and Darlene Chase of Florida. SERVICES – A time of visitation will be held Saturday (Feb 1st) from 10-10:45 at the Lifeway Church 2426 State Route 11, North Bangor. Funeral services will commence at 11 a.m at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bangor Vol. Fire and EMS, or to the Lifeway Church. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.flintfuneralhomeny.com.
