Obituary of Theresa B Barcomb

With heavy hearts, the family of Theresa B. Barcomb announces her passing on Friday March 27, 2020 peacefully at the Alice Hyde Medical Center. Arrangements with be made with the Flints Funeral Home in Moira. Born in Moira, Theresa was the daughter of Howard and Violet (Mayville) Villnave who have both predeceased. Theresa attended school in Brushton. She was united in marriage to Eldridge "Al" Barcomb who predeceased March 30, 1998. For several years Theresa worked as a home health aide for the North Country Home Services in Malone which she enjoyed very much. She also worked beside her husband at the Pleasant View Inn formally located in Brushton, NY for several years where they met many longtime friends. She was an Auxiliary member of the American Legion Post #939, and at one time the Alter Rosary Society, Brushton. Theresa was known for her wonderful cooking and especially her entertaining spirit. Her homemade potato donuts and homemade bread were famous all around. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate woman who always loved to laugh and give a helping hand. She loved canning and taught this skill to her granddaughters and daughter. The great grandchildren's memories of being spoiled with lots of hugs and kisses but sweetened up with her strawberry candies, star mints, and ribbon candies she always had on hand. She really enjoyed playing many types of card games with all of her family and friends for hours at a time with of course snacks included. She also enjoyed sewing for her children making them school clothes and special outfits. Theresa leaves behind her children Sharon Boyer of Chateaugay, Joseph Roach of Syracuse, Terry Roach of Las Vegas Nevada, Sandy Roach of Florida, Marcy Bonesteel of Malone, and Craig Barcomb of Marlyand. Treasured memories by her surviving grandchildren Denielle Bonesteel-Garcia, Tiffany White, Cortney Fallon, and Arlee Bonesteel, and Ian Barcomb. Great Grandchildren follows with Lucas, Elijah, Reaghan, Landyon, Emma Grace, Victoria, Bellara, Liam, and Tyler. Besides her parents and husband Theresa is predeceased by two brothers Joseph Villnave, Cecil Villnave, four sisters Marie Dabiew, Emma Montroy, Ileen Melvin, and Beverly Fisher. Theresa was also predeceased by a grandson CJ Barcomb. A celebration of life and burial will come at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers donation to be made to the Children's Miracle Network at the UVM Children's Hospital.
