Obituary of Robert Crinklaw

NORTH BANGOR – Robert "Crink" Crinklaw, 80, died peacefully June 20, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and friends. Born on January 15, 1940 in Malone, NY he was the son of William & Elizabeth (Goodman) Crinklaw. He was married to Cheryl LaRocque on October 1, 1994 at St. Mary's Church in Brushton. She survives. Robert graduated from Franklin Academy with the Class of 1958. He was a proud veteran who enlisted in the US Marines on April 29, 1960 and was discharged April 28, 1964. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He served in the 310th Army Reserves as a medic. He worked for S&H Green Stamps in Malone, Syracuse, and Peru, drove school bus for Peru Central School, and was a US Postal Mail carrier in Malone for 19 years, retiring in 2000. He was a parishioner of St. Ann's Church, St. Regis Falls and a member of the American Legion Post #219. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved watching wildlife and cutting wood. He is survived by his children: Alison (Randy) Everson of Baker, FL, Kevin (Tammy) Crinklaw of Brushton, NY, Cindy (Devon) Jarrett of Tampa, FL, and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings James (Janine) Crinklaw of Massena, NY and Richard (Jean) Crinklaw of Crestview, FL. He is predeceased by his parents. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. Due to current health care regulations, a private funeral mass is planned, however you are cordially invited to attend Robert's graveside service Wednesday (June 24) at 12:30 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Brushton. Social distancing, and facial masks are encouraged. Memorial contribution may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church, or to the American Cancer Society.
