Obituary of Helen J. Jock

Helen Joye (Millares) Jock of Brushton, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her cherished family after a lifelong illness on October 22, 2020 just shy of the age of 74. She was the beloved daughter of the late Modesto (Manual) and Joyce (Trim) Millares. Helen was the devoted wife of Michael G. Jock, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. She was the adored mother of Stacey L. Ross and James Stegemann of Ilion, Rhonda L. and her husband Todd Dumas of Ogdensburg, and Barry M. Jock of Albany. After searching for decades, Helen felt blessed to have found her biological family three years ago and meeting them shortly thereafter; the joy was reciprocated by all the families. Helen was the dear sister of Evelyn Galatis and Carol and her husband Robert Salvo, all of Winchester, MA. Loving Aunt of Amy, Bill, Jonathan, Andreana and her husband Perry, Loula, Will and Luca. Born in Nashua, NH, and raised in St. Regis Falls, she graduated with the Class of 1963. After she and Mike married, Helen stayed at home, running the family business and raising her children. In addition to focusing on her family, her special interests included doing ceramics, gardening, her pets, bird watching, mowing the lawn, watching her favorite TV shows, baking/candy making, shopping, Christmas and Facebook. She was also survived by many cherished family and friends. Helen will be missed by her fellow graduating high school class members. Special thanks to her health care providers for many years of dedicated service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Flint Funeral Home of Moira. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call at the Flint Funeral Home Sunday (Oct 25th) from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen will be held Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brushton at 11 a.m. Interment will commence at St. Mary's Cemetery in Brushton.
