MOIRA – The family of Ella J. "Janie" LaPage, 82, announce her passing on Wednesday (December 10, 2020) at her home with the love of her family at her side. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. Born July 24, 1938 in Belmont, NY the daughter of Thomas & Anna (Hill) Lucey, she attended Saranac Lake High School. She was predeceased by her beloved Alton "Freckles" H. LaPage, a love that stayed strong for over 62 years. For many years Janie was a cook at many local diners in the area, retiring from Annie's Diner in Brushton. Janie enjoyed ceramics, crafts and took much pride in decorating each room in the house during the Christmas season. However, she was always ready for a good game of "Pitch". Her heart was filled with gladness everyday at noon as her children would gather around the table for lunch. Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her children James (Barbara) Lucey of North Bangor, Bonnie (Kevin) Fleury of Moira, Craig LaPage of Moira, Theresa LaPage and her companion Gregory Jenkins of Moira, Carrie (Terry) Parent of St. Albans, Vermont, Bryan (Vitaline) LaPage of Brushton, Paula LaPage of Moira, Scott (Susan) LaPage of Moira, and Todd (Tiffany) LaPage of Moira. She is also survived by her stepchildren Michelle (Wayne) Wallbridge of Malone, Sherrie Moquin of Morristown, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her siblings Leona (Malcomb) Wheeler, of Dickinson, Donna Prue of Moira, Thomas Lucey of Bangor, Danny (Marcy) Lucey of St. Regis Falls, Dickie (Lorna) Lucey, and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins survive her. She is predeceased by her two sons Randy Trombley who passed January 1, 1958, Troy Alton LaPage September 12, 1978 and a sister Dorothy King and a brother William Lucey. A time of visitation will be held Friday, December 18th from 11-11:50 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Brushton. A Mass Christian Burial will commence 12 noon at the church. Interment will follow in parish cemetery where Janie will rest beside her beloved Freckles. Memorial contributions may be made to the Moira Vol Fire and Rescue.
