MALONE - With heavy hearts the family of Paul W. Dumas, 82, announces his passing on (Saturday January 23, 2021). He was comforted and cared for by his wife Kathy and his family. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. Born July 14, 1938 in Malone the son of the late Wallace and Vivian (Wheeler) Dumas. He was a 1957 graduate of Malone Franklin Academy. He was a retired National Guard Army Staff Sergeant First Class for the United States Army Veteran in which he worked in communication as well as a retiree from Reynolds Metals Company with over 30 years of service. From a craft show in 1996 and an exchange of business cards, Paul started dating a young lady named Kathy Gardner. In 1997 the couple exchanged vows and were married at the American Legion, Brushton. It was in Malone where he moved her into his house and later they made it 'A Home.' Anyone who entered was greeted with a cup of hot coffee, his beautiful smile, jolly sense of humor and a walk out to his favorite place in the world, his garage. It held all his treasures from the furniture he made for orders, toys for his craft shows and toys for his family throughout the years. Being an exceptional wood craftsman was only one thing he was known for and enjoyed. He enjoyed his bowling with his late best friend Harold 'Pal' Lamondie who he cherished 71 years of friendship with. He also enjoyed his Thursday night pool games with Pal, Peanut, son-in- law Shane Bolster and many other dear friends. He loved bringing home bucket fulls of Bullhead from his family camp. Later in life he even attempted golf with them, more talk than golf but it was many memories made. Paul adored his large family which included 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 on the way. Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his wife Kathy and his children. His 2 chosen daughters Melinda Hill and her companion Jamie Desnouyer of Brushton, Melissa Bolster and her fiancé Craig Bushey of Champlain. His 7 sons, Robert and his fiancée Tonya Healy of Malone, Michael Dumas and his fiancée Shirley Woods of Malone, Jimmy Dumas and Johnny Dumas of Malone, Brent Dumas of Zephyrhills, FL, Paul Dumas of Albany.
