BRUSHTON – With heavy hearts the family of Marjorie J. (Allen) Bellows, 84, announce her passing on Saturday (Jan. 30, 2021). Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira Born May 12, 1936 the daughter of Ward & Hazel (Avery) Allen. She attended Brushton School. Marjorie united into marriage with Mervin Bellows on May 14, 1953 in the Town of Waverly. Mervin predeceased her on July 28, 2015. Marjorie was not shy of hard work and was employed though out the area. At one time she had worked at the Dress Factory, on the family's dairy farm, retiring from the Cross Road in 2004. Marjorie had a friendly smile and a genuine love for all especially all her grandchildren. People always loved her potato salad, no matter how hard one tried, it could never compare to hers. Special memories will be forever in the hearts of her children Jack & Patty of Brushton, Connie of N. Bangor, Hilda & Fred Leabo of Malone, and Ann & Loren Clookey of Plattsburgh. Also surviving her are her grandchildren Jack Jr., Jeremy, & Nicole Bellows, Brandy Bellows, Bernadette & John St. Mary, Stephen, & Sarah Ghostlaw, Aaron & Shawna Leabo, Lisa & Tom Brown; Her great-grandchildren, Stefan, Conner, Madyson, Zakk & Mallory, Emily & Natalie Jordon, Caleb, Tristan, Blake, Reagan, Victoria and Alex survive her. Also surviving her is a niece, Jennifer and a great-niece, Ella Gallagher who played a special roll in her life. Her siblings Eleanor Gale, of Bombay, Roger (Charlotte) Allen of Brushton, Norma (Bob) Gary of Moira, Dale Allen of Brushton, Susan Bellows Martin, of Brushton, Jane Bellows of Brushton, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins survive her. Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Betty Bellows, sister Peggy Newtown, son-in-law, Raymond Ghostlaw, brothers-in-law Donald Bellows, Kelly Gale and a sister and brother-in-law, Esther & Dick Villnave. A time of visitation will be held Thursday (Feb. 4th) from 11 to 12:50 p.m. at the Cooks Corners Wesleyan Church. Funeral services will commence at 1 p.m. Due to our current health care situation social distancing and facial coverings are required. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brushton Vol. Fire Department, the Moira Vol. Rescue Squad or the Brushton Moira Meals on Wheels.
