
Obituary of Wanda "Sue" Snyder

BRUSHTON – With heavy hearts the family of Wanda “Sue” Snyder, 54, passed away Thursday (April
29, 2021) at the Fletcher Allen Medical Center with her family at her side. Arrangements are with the
Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
Born in Malone the daughter of Lawrence J. Recore and Chloe (Jarvis) Premo. She was a 1984 graduate
from Malone Franklin Academy. On September 1, 1984 Wanda united into marriage with Kenneth J.
Snyder III, he predeceased her on February 6, 2015. For 16 years Wanda was employed with Malone
Central School District as a bus driver. She was much loved by all of her students, having to resign due
to health issues.
Wanda enjoyed spending time at her brother Larry’s camp, playing cards, reading books, doing all
kinds of puzzles, watching NCIS, and cooking shows. Always the life of the party. She lived for her kids
and loved her family.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her children Heather (Althea) LaTray of Bombay,
Jason and his companion Kayla Pangelinan of Brushton, and Holly Carlile of Brushton. She is also
survived by three grandchildren Rose and Skye Carlile, Zachariah Jock and her chosen grandchildren
Emmalie, Brayden, and Landon and three great grandchildren.
Survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernie and Deborah Pritchard of Solvay, NY., Larry
and Andrea Valley and Steve and Julie Valley all of Williamson, NY., three sisters and three brothersin-law, Debra and Ronnie Stephen of Natchez, MS, Kari and Charles LaBrake, Jr. of Malone, NY., Brenda
and Dave Leonard of Malone, NY,
Besides her parents and husband she is predeceased by a brother Robert Premo and a sister Lynn
Marie Recore.
A time of visitation will be held Thursday (May 6th) from 11-11:45 a.m. at the Cooks Corners Wesleyan
Church. Funeral services celebrating Wanda’s life will be held at 12 noon. Burial will commence in St.
Mary’s Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Kenneth.
Memorial contributions in Wanda’s honor may be made to the Hastings, Hemodialysis Center, 20 4th
Street, Malone, NY 12953.
