Obituary of Irolean Ruth Mayville

DICKINSON – With heavy hearts the family of Irolean Ruth Mayville, 94, passed away Saturday (July 10, 2021). She was comforted by her family and Hospice of the North Country. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. Born in Malone on April 4, 1927, the daughter of Edward & Nina (Weller) Campbell. She attended school in West Bangor. On June 5, 1945, she united into marriage with Robert Mayville, he predeceased her in August of 1977. For many years she worked at the Slipper Factory in Brushton and the Roy Elliott Slipper Factory. In 1989 she retired from the Alice Hyde Nursing Home after being a Nurses Aide for 10 years. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, quilting, card playing and wood crafting. However, she loved the time she spent with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. ' Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her children Ronald (Ghislaine) Mayville of Adams, NY, Roger (Bonita) Mayville of Brushton, NY and Yvonne (Kenneth) Duncan of Lawrenceburg, TN. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren 21 great grandchildren and numerous great great-grandchildren. Her siblings Clifton Campbell and Shirley (James) Barse all from Brushton survive her. Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a daughter Rebecca Mayville, a granddaughter Stephanie Potter, her siblings Pauline, Amila, Beverly, Richard, Frances, Kathrolean, Edward and Ester. Memorial contributions in Irolean's honor may be made to the St. Regis Falls Vol. Fire and Rescue, or to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Irolean's graveside service which will be held Saturday (July 17th) at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cemetery, in North Bangor, NY, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Robert. Following the service, the family will receive friends and family for light refreshments at the St. Augustine Parish Center until 1:00 pm.
