MOIRA – Rita B. Richards, 87, passed away Monday morning (Jan 24, 2022) at the Alice Hyde Medical Center. She was born March 7, 1934, in North Bangor, the daughter of Wilbur and Florence (LaFleur) Bombard. She was the last surviving sibling from a family of 12. She attended school locally. Rita was united into marriage with the love of her life, Leland Frazier, Sr. He predeceased her. Later she was joined in union with Roy King who also passed. Then she married Andy Richards, who also predeceased her. She was married a combined total of 70 years. Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her children: Leland (Sue) Frazier of Moira, Lynn (Debbie) Frazier of Webster Mass, Lori (Kenneth) Fleury of Tavares Fl and Lonnie (Yovilla) Frazier of Webster Mass. She is also survived by her chosen children Sabrina Best and her companion Jessie of North Bangor, Jerry King and his wife Angel of Malone, Leroy King and his companion Mindy, and Brenda Taylor of Malone. She will be greatly missed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also fostered over 40 children. Rita is also survived by her stepchildren June (Jerry) Pieklo of Florida, Gloria (Brian) Baldwin of Malone, Donald Richards of Cortland, Dorothy (Joel) Brooks of Malone, Roy (Bonnie) Richards of Bangor, David (Jane) Richards of Colchester, VT, Scott Richards and his companion Rick Maloney of Constable, and Sue Richards of Bangor. Besides her parents and husbands, she is predeceased by her daughters Lana Lopez, Lisa Howell and a son Loren Frazier. A time of visitation will be held Thursday (Jan. 27th) from 11-11:45a.m. at St. Mary's Church Brushton, where her Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 12 noon. A spring burial will be held May 6, 2022, at 9 a.m. in the parish cemetery Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. Memorial contributions in Rita's honor may be made to the Brushton Moira Senior Citizens.
