MOIRA – William Russell Palmer, age 14, unexpectedly passed away on Friday January 28, 2022, as a result of a tragic automobile accident on County Rt. 6 of Moira. William was born at Plattsburgh, CVPH Medical Ctr on August 15, 2007, the son of Sara and Wayne J. Palmer II. Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of William's family. He is survived by his parents and his siblings Wayne J. Palmer III and Natalie Palmer, of Moira. His maternal grandparents Marcia and William A. Russell and paternal grandparents Phyllis and Wayne J. Palmer, Sr. of the town of Moira - along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. William was a Freshman at Brushton-Moira High School. William was a talented athlete, a kind friend and a hardworking student. From soccer to cross country, basketball and baseball, he gave one hundred percent in whatever sport he was playing. William was also an avid sportsman, he enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling, hunting, and fishing with his family and friends. He was an active member of the community, who will be remembered for his happy, positive attitude, kindhearted smile, contagious laughter and love of life. Visitation for William's family and friends will be held Friday, Feb. 4th, from 2-4 and 6-8 at St. Mary's Church, Brushton. Williams Funeral Service will commence Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. There will be a reception held at the Brushton-Moira American Legion at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. A pot-luck meal will be served, all are welcome to attend. Interment will be held in the spring at a time to be announced. Memorial contributions in William's honor may be made to the William Palmer Scholarship fund through the Brushton Moira Dollars for Scholars or the Moira Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
