Obituary of Forrest M Manchester
Please share a memory of Forrest to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Forrest M. Manchester formerly of West Bangor passed away December 9, 2022, at the Alice Center where he had been a resident for a few months. Born August 20, 1957, in Malone to Mark L. Manchester and Frances Carol (Thomas) Manchester. Forrest graduated from Brushton Moira Central school in 1975 and then from Mohawk Valley Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. After college he had a brief stint with the Kochman Hell Drivers as a roadie then as a village policeman in Malone. After a few years on the force Forrest decided to leave to pursue a job at Alcoa where he worked until he retired. There he made many friends. Forrest had many passions but none so special as golfing. There he seemed to find the sport that completed him. He made many friends on the golf course and many stories were shared. Forrest also had a wild side where he would take off on his Harley and attend rallies and hang out with biker friends. Forrest leaves behind siblings Mark of Constable, Micheal of Bangor, Mona (Mike) of Bangor, Chad (Lori) of Webster MA, and a very special nephew Joel (Amanda) Manchester of Bangor. He is also survived by special aunts Sybil Thomas and Rachel Berube of Colchester, VT, and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the Alice Center staff for their love, kindness, and dedication toward our brother during his time there, Wayne and Maryann Duso for their unwavering friendship, Dave and Mona Muehl for being awesome neighbors, Evelyn Rockhill for her continuing support and to Darleen Boyle and Monica de LaSantos, Forrest's very special nurses in Elizabethtown. Services honoring Forrest will be held privately at the Flint Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in his name can be made to the Bangor Volunteer Fire Dept.
